Stressed out Kids – Mindfulness for Teens and Tweens (Fall 2019)

Just like adults, teens and ‘tweens are stressed and need tools to deal with their complicated modern lives. Mindfulness techniques have been shown to help kids decrease stress and anxiety, which can increase happiness in life.

This four week program, in partnership with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, will provide an age-appropriate introduction to mindfulness, including tools to help your child:

  • Decrease the effect of stress in their lives
  • Increase focus and attention
  • Help with emotional regulation;
  • Improve communication in their relationships
  • Increase a sense of wellness
  • Be less reactive and more able to respond to the challenges of modern teen or tween life

Your child will learn a variety of mindfulness techniques including formal meditation practice such as breath awareness, body scan and movement meditation, as well as information practices to use in daily life.

Should you decide to cancel your registration, fees are refundable up until one (1) week prior to the start of the program. The cancellation deadline is 5:00 pm, Monday, October 7, 2019. After that date, there will be no refunds, no exceptions.
